Related field M:M
This field allows you to select many related records, it functions similarly to the “Related field 1:M” field.
Create field
To add a field you need to enter some basic information about the field and select the module where the related records will be chosen from.
We recommend the field to be placed in a different table than the basic one, for example "...CF", due to the data being stored in a text type column, which can contain a large amount of data.
Create and edit view
Related records can be added to the field in several ways:
- Find a record using the search engine - click the field and start typing the record name (the search engine works according to the settings defined in Software configuration → Labels, searching and filtering → Labels and searching
- Create a record using the Plus button ( + ) - the button opens a quick create record (configuration can be found in Software → Standard modules → Fields - Quick Create)
- Select records from the list popup
Preview
Values of this field are displayed as a list of record labels in the preview and list view, and the names are links to record previews.
If the field is related to the documents module then additional actions will appear next to the name, such as file download or a website link.
If there are a lot of records and the text length is greater than the set limit, it shows only the first few entries and the rest are available in the modal window.
