Access data to the YetiForce system

If you are a YetiForce user and you have a problem that you would like to report to us as part of SLA, we need some basic information in order to quickly handle your issue:

Adding translations via Crowdin

YetiForce CRM joined Crowdin. It’s a platform that allows you to do translations through a visual interface. It is free to join and makes it much easier to translate the system into other languages. We have prepared a short guide explaining how to add translations step by step.

Building the community around YetiForce

We aim at building a large community around YetiForce and we hope that together we will create and develop the best open system for companies. Our project can be found on GitHub where communities and open projects complement one another and define a common direction of development. YetiForce is open source, which means that everyone who likes the system can join the community, make changes and contribute to the project. We have developed some general principles that will determine the discussion standards.

Descriptions of labels for GitHub issues

We have discussed how to build a community around an open source project and what is the best way to communicate with community members. There are many tools available, e.g. mailing lists, discussion groups or chats but we selected GitHub as it provides many opportunities and tools. It seems unnecessary to provide many different communication tools because they may scatter the community members. Instead, we decided to have one common place for everyone where the entire community can work together, communicate and develop.

How to report bugs?

01 issues

Please read the following article before you send us information about a bug. If you don't comply to it, instead of focusing on the development of the system, we may waste a lot of time for things that are trifling or have already been answered. We do our best to help everyone, so the better you are prepared, the quicker you will receive an answer. The following article isn't only about bugs but also about ideas for changes, new functionalities and asked questions.

System development ideas

Users often submit their ideas for new YetiForce functionalities. We have absolutely nothing against this practice, although most of these submissions will be ignored. However, it doesn't mean that these ideas are bad. This article explains why adding new features might turn out to be problematic.

Why was the issue ignored?

This article might come in handy when your issue has been labeled as Category::Ignored, and you don't quite agree with our decision. We made a list of all the cases that result in labeling the issue as ignored, it'll allow the community to better understand our point of view. We also provide some examples on how to solve the problem of an ignored issue.
